CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order at 7:40pm by Supervisor Peter Shrope at the Brighton Town Hall, 12 County Road 31 (aka Jones Pond Road), Paul Smiths, New York, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, with the following:
Pledge to the Flag was recited.

NOTICE OF MEETING:
Notice of this meeting was posted on the Town Clerkís Sign Board on October 27, 2022, written notice was provided to Town Board members, and the Adirondack Daily Enterprise was notified by fax.
BUSINESS
TAX COLLECTOR POSITION VACANCY:
The Town Clerk declared a vacancy in the Tax Collector position. She received a letter of resignation dated November 1, 2022, from the Tax Collector Holly Huber in the afternoon of November 1, 2022, to be effective immediately. The Deputy Tax Collector Elizabeth DeFonce resigned as Deputy Tax Collector at 7:39pm.; effective immediately. On Thursday, October 27, 2022, a notice was posted in the Townís post offices by Supervisor Peter Shrope to advertise the expected vacancy in the Tax Collector position. No other people submitted a letter of intent for the position.
RESOLUTION #55-2022
APPOINTMENT OF TAX COLLECTOR
Motion made by Supervisor Peter Shrope, second by Matthew Szeliga,
WHEREAS, the current Tax Collector Holly Huber has resigned from the position of Tax Collector, and
WHEREAS there is an unexpired term for Tax Collector until December 31, 2023,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board appoints Elizabeth DeFonce of 39 Clark Wardner Road, Rainbow Lake, as Tax Collector for the Town of Brighton, Franklin County, NY, to complete the unexpired term of Tax Collector from November 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023.

Resolution #55 declared duly adopted
PUBLIC HEARING FOR PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR 2023 RESCHEDULED
Motion made by Supervisor Peter Shrope, second by Amber McKernan to hold the public hearing on the Preliminary Budget for 2023 on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 6:30pm. This change is due to the mandatory publication of a 5-day notice in a daily paper.

AUDIT OF VOUCHERS
Voucher #169 for the new Master Card account in the amount of $150,00, needs to be corrected to be made out to ìFirst National Bank of Omahaî, instead of ìMaster Cardî and the amount changed to $162.00.
RESOLUTION #54-2022 (Amended)
AUDIT OF VOUCHERS
Motion made by Supervisor Peter Shrope, second by Amber McKernan,
RESOLVED that the Supervisor be authorized to pay the audited vouchers as listed on the abstracts dated October 13, 2022, as follows:
PREPAID FUNDS: Abstract #10 for Voucher #s 10A through 10C for 2022 GENERAL FUND in the amount of $506.25. and Voucher #10C for 2022 STREET LIGHTING FUNDS in the amount of $85.54
GENERAL FUND: Abstract #11 for Voucher #159 through #179 for 2022 funds in the amount of $7,602.56
HIGHWAY FUND: Abstract #10 for Voucher #81 through #85 for 2022 funds in the amount of $13,120.26
