Annual Report of Fire Chief Tom Tucker: 2020 has been a trying year. The COVID 19 pandemic has made the PSGV Fire Department change the way they respond to calls.
The fire at White Pine Camp was a major call.
Their fundraising events had to change; they plan to have a ìtake-out onlyî dinner on Feb 13. They are not sure about the Lasagna Dinner in March.
Franklin County Public Health Department did not order vaccine for the COVIC-19 flu for the people who are eligible to get it. Members of the Fire Department have been getting their vaccines from other Counties.
The addition to the building was started, footers were laid, moved the septic system and the oil separator was ready to go in. Funding was delayed by the bank. Hope to start construction again in April.
The Fire Department thanked the Highway Superintendent and employees for keeping Camp Gabriels plowed so they can get to the building where equipment is stored. A security camera is being installed. The Fire Department hopes to get a contract with Office of General Serivces to use more buildings in the future.
